چکیده
In this paper, novel Dual-Functional Radar-Communication (DFRC) waveforms with peak average power ratio (PAPR) constraint are designed, which under the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar-communication system. The DFRC transmitted by multiple antennas can send communication information to many downlink cellular users and detect radar targets simultaneously. An optimization model is established minimize multi-user interference (MUI) PAPR constraint. non-convex quadratically constrained quadratic programs (QCQP) be derived into a convex problem solved using semi-definite relaxation (SDR) technique rank-one approximation. Numerical simulations demonstrate that our proposed achieve better performance in practical scenarios without sacrificing performance.

MIMO radar waveform design with peak and sum power constraints
Optimal power allocation for multiple-input multiple-output radar waveform design subject to combined peak and sum power constraints using two different criteria is addressed in this paper. The first one is by maximizing the mutual information between the random target impulse response and the reflected waveforms, and the second one is by minimizing the mean square error in estimating the targe...
متن کاملPower Allocation Strategies for MIMO Radar Waveform Design
The role of waveform design is central to effective radar resource management for state-of-the art radar systems. The waveform shape employed by any radar system has always been a key factor in determining the performance and application. The design of radar waveform to minimize mean square error (MSE) in estimating the target impulse response is based on power allocation using waterfilling. ...
متن کاملTowards Dual-functional Radar-Communication Systems: Optimal Waveform Design
We focus on a dual-functional multi-input-multioutput (MIMO) radar-communication (RadCom) system, where a single transmitter communicates with downlink cellular users and detects radar targets simultaneously. Several design criteria are considered for minimizing the downlink multi-user interference. First, we consider both the omnidirectional and directional beampattern design problems, where t...

متن کاملSparse Frequency Waveform Design for Mimo Radar
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar has superior performance to conventional one. It has been introduced to almost every application field of conventional radar in recent years. In practical application, MIMO radar also faces the problem of congested spectrum assignment, which makes it not possible to have a continuous clear band with large bandwidth. Sparse frequency waveform that cont...
